For the first time ever, Ulyanovsk has its own Chevra Kadisha!
Natan Vlasov, Victor Rosen, and Dima Lutov just completed their course in Moscow on Jewish burial and mourning. They have already performed a number of burials in Ulyanovsk since their return.
They were taught by Dovid Blochin, head of the Moscow Chevra Kadisha. During their time in Moscow, they met important figures in the Jewish community, such as Chief Rabbi of Russia, Rabbi Lazar. They learned much about hands on Jewish life by seeing a Chupa, Bar Mitzva, Yeshiva, and Shabbat in Moscow.
We wish them much success in their new holy work!
