

On parshas chukos-bolok, I noticed that one letter in our Torah became invalid, because of age. The letter ה was written like a ד. Although this is a fixable mistake, I wonder how many more mistakes there are in this very old Torah. The only way we can use this Sefer Torah in the future is through a thorough examination of all the letters. I believe that there are lots of renovations to do to this very old Sefer Torah. The Sefer Torah has an interesting history. It was written in Russia nearly one hundred years ago. It somehow survived Aushwitz, making it one of the only Torah's to survive Aushwitz. In 2005, it was donated to the Jewish Commmunity of Ulyanovsk by the organization "Kesher".

ReplyDeletethe reason I am so bothered, this Torah is old and pealing, I have a feeling it needs lots of renovations....
